QFA President takes part in ordinary general assembly meeting of AGCFF

  Kuwait city, Kuwait: Jassim bin Rashid Al Buainain, President of the Qatar Football Association (QFA), participated in the ordinary general assembly of the Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation (AGCFF). The meeting was held at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel on the sidelines of the 26th Gulf Cup hosted by Kuwait from Dec 21 to Jan 3. The meeting was chaired by His Excellency Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, President of AGCFF, and was attended by the heads of the federations of the eight member states, Jassim Al Rumaihi, Secretary-General, representatives of delegations and members of the committees of AGCFF, and a group of Gulf media. The General Assembly of the AGCFF approved Saudi Arabia hosting the next edition of the Gulf Cup Championship "Gulf 27", which will be held from September 23, 2026 to October 6 of the same year. The meeting witnessed the approval of changing the name of the Arabian Gulf Cup Football Federation to the Gulf Federation, and the meeting discussed many points included on the agenda of the Ordinary General Assembly, starting with the announcement that the General Assembly had been held and formed in accordance with the statute. Approval of the agenda of the General Assembly, the speech of His Excellency the President, the appointment of two members to review the minutes, namely Bahrain and Yemen, and the ratification of the minutes of the previous General Assembly. In addition to approving the audited accounts and reports of the independent external auditors, approving the budget, discussing the administrative report, as well as proposals to approve and amend the statute.
