DOHA: Qatar Football Association (QFA) President Sheikh Hamad
bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani has urged 'Al Anabi' to fight in their
next match against Uzbekistan.
Qatar, who lost to Iran in their 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying match
on Thursday, take on Uzbekistan on September 6 in Doha.
"The national squad has our support. We know they can do well. We
hope they put on a fight," Sheikh Hamad said on Sunday.
"The players have said they will give their best. I have watched them
in training," he said. "I want them to give their best.
"They are working hard. Their morale is high," the QFA President said.
Coached by Daniel Carreno, Qatar are one of five sides in their Asian
Zone qualifying phase.
Qatar will train on Monday also, just a day prior to their fixture against
Uzbekistan.
The match will be played under lights at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium.
