LISBON, PORTUGAL: Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, President of Qatar Football Association (QFA), on Wednesday visited his Portuguese counterpart Soares Gomes da Silva in the capital city of Portugal, Lisbon. Sheikh Hamad offered his heartfelt condolences over the loss of Portuguese football legend, Eusébio, who passed away earlier this month. The two also discussed matters of mutual interest and ways to improve football relations between the two countries. “It was a fruitful meeting; we talked about several football related topics concerning both of our associations, we agreed on seeking means to work together for a better future in football development and grooming young footballers”. QFA president said after the meeting. On a similar note, Sheikh Hamad stopped at the Estadio da Luz, where famous Portuguese club Benfica is based, he also visited the Eusébio museum, where he was offered the opportunity to view first hand a well kept collection of memorabilia and mementos commemorating the legacy of the late Portugal forward.
