DOHA: Qatar Football Association (QFA) has decided to establish a
committee that would look into providing support to former national
team players, it has emerged.
Mohammed Ali, Mohamed Ghanem Rumaihi, Abdullah Jaman, Mohammed Mubarak
Al Muhannadi, Abdullah Al Mubarak and Abdul Amhed Obaid are the
members of the newly-established committee.
The new QFA committee will be responsible for communicating with
former Qatar national team players who need any assistance of any
kind.
The families of the former players would also be supported, if need
be, QFA said.
A database is currently being created to list the players who have
represented Qatar at the national level.
The players would also be honoured at special QFA gatherings, officials said.
