DOHA: Masoor Al Anasri, Secretary General of Qatar Football
Association (QFA), on Thursday will leave for Cairo where he
will meet officials of Confederation Africaine de Football, the
ruling body in Africa.
This will be a follow up meeting between the two associations
working together to promote football in Middle East region and
African continent.
QFA and CAF last May signed an MoU that will last five years. The
MoU was signed to promote football across the two regions besides
helping the game develop in Asian continent.
CAF President Issa Hayatou and QFA President Sheikh Hamad bin
Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani signed the agreement on 6th of May at
the CAF headquarters in Cairo, Egypt.
Topics like exchanging expertise and experience in various areas such
as administration, coaching, sports medicine, refereeing, youth football
and women football, infrastructure development, marketing and communications
will come under discussion, QFA said on Wednesday.
