DOHA: Qatar Football Association's (QFA) Disciplinary Committee on
Monday made several announcements after its meeting headed by Hassan
Al Hammadi.
The committee decided to draw the attention of Sheikh Khalifa bin
Hassan Al Thani, Chairman of Al Wakra club, because of the offensive
comments against the referee following their clash against AlGharafa.
The game too took place on 20 February in what was round 19 of Qatar
Stars League (QSL).
According to Article 3/77 and Article 9 of Rules of Discipline of
Football, stipulates that club officials should refrain from using
offensive language against any player, official or member of a club.
The Committee also decided to suspend Rubin Phillip of Al Wakra for
two games because of unsportsmanlike behaviour in the match against Al
Gharafa team.
He was also fined QR 10,000.
The Committee also decided to suspend Ismail Mardini of Umm Salal for
one game for second bookable offense during a Qatargas League match.
