Sanchez names 30-man squad

DOHA: Interim coach Felix Sanchez on Thursday named a 30-man squad for Qatar's last two 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches. Qatar will play matches against Syria and China on August 30 and September 5 respectively. The match against Syria will be played in Malaysia while the second clash will be staged in Doha. A QFA official said the squad announced by Sanchez will train in Birmingham from August 2 to 18. The squad will play three friendlies also during the UK training camp. After returning to Doha, the squad will continue to train until it leaves for Malaysia on August 29. Sanchez and his boys will return to Doha on September 1 and train for their game on September 5.
