DOHA: Qatar Football Association (QFA) Vice President Saoud Al
Mohannadi will run for the AFC Vice President post, it emerged
on Saturday.
Al Maohannad has officially applied for the candidacy before
the deadline next Wednesday.
Al Mohannadi‎ will also run for a seat on the FIFA Executive Committee,
it was announced on Saturday.
Al Mohannadi, who has enjoyed decades of association with football in
various capacities, was QFA secretary general for many years before
being promoted as vice president.
In October 2013, the General Assembly voted him as the new Qatar
Football Association vice president.
The AFC elections will be held on April 30 in Manama, Bahrain.
Qatar will host the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
