DOHA: Ali Hmoud Al Nuaimi, Chairman Competitions Department of the
Qatar Football Association, on Thursday headed a key meeting with
representatives of the four clubs that have reached the semi-finals of
the Emir Cup.
Details on Thursday showed Al Nuaimi met with club representatives of
Al Rayyan, Al Sadd, Lekhwiya and El Jaish to discuss matters relating
to the Emir Cup semi-finals which take place on Friday.
Abdullah Al Sulaiti, the press officer for the two games to be played
at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium, was also present during the meeting.
QFA's Yusuf Bakhit Al Kuwari was also present.
Security measures put in place for the games were also discussed as
was the matter of jerseys to be worn by the players of the four teams
engaged in the semi-finals.
The first semi-final will be played between Al Rayyan and Al Sadd
which will start at 5:30pm while the second clash takes place between
Lekhwiya and El Jaish. The kick-off of the second semi-final has been
fixed at 8:00pm.
The matter of club representatives present near the dugouts besides
the players of the four teams was also debated in detail.
It was confirmed that in case the games end in a draw in regulation
time, then penalty kicks will be used to decide a winner.
