MANAMA: Qatar squad on Friday underwent rigorous training ahead of
their final preparations in lead up to Sunday's match against Kuwait in the
GCC championship for Olympic teams currently taking place in Bahrain.
Qatar who arrived in Manama last week face Kuwait on January 18
before taking on United Arab Emirates.
Friday’s training sessions were headed by coach Fahad Thani who has
guided the team in numerous friendly matches since taking over the team
last March.
The Gulf Under-23 Championship is currently being held in Bahrain from
January 16 to 26.
It is worth mentioning that the Qatar squad has played two
friendlies against Kyrgyzstan and South Africa earlier this month.
