SUWON: Qatar's national team director Fareed Mahboub on Wednesday
said the team camp was 'buzzing with excitement and confidence' ahead
of the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying game against Korea.
"We are in high spirits. We have the confidence. We will do everything in
our power to get the points," Mahboub said on Wednesday.
"Korea are a tough side. They play really well. They are one of the best
sides in Asia. But we are looking for a positive return from this game," he
said.
"We have to learn from past mistakes and not repeat them," he said in
reference to the two losses Qatar suffered last month.
"We need to target a win and that's what we want. We were unlucky in
the last two games but we hope to turn things around," he said.
Facing Korea - and Syria on October 11 - presents Qatar the chance to
collect some much-needed points and revive their qualifying journey.
The game will be played at Suwon World Cup Stadium with kick off
slated for 2pm Qatar Standard Time
