DOHA: Ticket sales for AFC U23 Championship Qatar 2016, Asia’s second
biggest men’s national team championship, started on Sunday.
The tournament will be played in Doha and it will feature 16 top U23
sides from Asia, including hosts Qatar and defending champions Iraq.
The top three teams from the tournament will secure qualification for
the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
The opening match on January 12 sees Syria take on Iran while hosts
Qatar kick off their campaign against China on the same day, at 19.30
local time, at Abdullah Bin Khalifa Stadium in Doha.
The final is played on January 30, 2016, also at Abdullah Bin Khalifa Stadium.
The affordable ticketing structure has been designed to make the
tournament accessible to the local football fans and to attract
families in order to ensure a lively and festive atmosphere in the
stadia.
Tickets for all the matches are available online from the Qatar
Football Association website: www.qfa.qa.
Fans can also buy tickets from Villagio Mall and City Center Mall in
Doha from January 2, 2016.
Furthermore, fans will be able to buy tickets on match days at the
tournament stadiums.
