DOHA: The Turkey national side will arrive in Doha on Wednesday for
its friendly against hosts Qatar later this week, details revealed on
Tuesday.
Qatar host Turkey on November 13 at Lekhwiya Stadium.
The match against the world’s 37th-ranked team is a part of Qatar’s
preparations for their second-round tie in the 2018 FIFA World Cup
qualification against Bhutan in Thimpu on November 17.
Qatar, ranked 85, routed the South East Asian side 15-0 at home lin
the first leg held in September for their biggest-ever victory in any
official competition.
The game will also be held within the celebrations for the
Qatari-Turkish Culture Year.
The past cultural events in Qatar included: Qatar-Japan 2012, Qatar-UK
2013 and Qatar-Brazil 2014.
