DOHA: Al Ahli came up with an impressive display to defeat Al Arabi
3-1 in the 23rd round of the Qatar Stars League at the Al Ahli Stadium
on Friday.
Meshaal Abdullah (seventh), Mouhcine Iajour (47th) and Firmin
Mubele (60th) found the target for Ahli. Arabi pulled one back
through Paulinho in the 90th.
The win helped Ahli increase their tally to 28 points and move
up to ninth in the table.
Meanwhile, Al Sailiya came from behind to hold Qatar Sports
Club 1-1.
Fadhl Omar put Qatar SC ahead in the 18th minute while Dragos
Grigore equalised in the 80th.
Qatar SC stayed 13th in the table despite increasing their total
points to 22.
Elsewhere, Yannick Sagbo netted the all-important goal in the 86th
minute as Umm Salal defeated Al Wakrah 1-0.
