DOHA: Aeronautical College(QAC) defeated Georgetown University School of Foreign Service inQatar(GU-Q)3-2 in the opening football match of the 2015/2016University League on Thursday. The match saw goals by QAC’s Mohammed Abdulla Al Hashimi, Mohamed Ali Al Diyani, and Nasser S Al Khaabi, andGU-Q’s Abdulaziz Al-Buainain and Owais Khan. The second match was played at 7pm between the champions of the last two editions, Qatar University (QU) and Northwestern University in Qatar (NU-Q). QU beat NU-Q 4-0. The University League is set to run from 22^ndOctober 2015 until 2^ndFebruary 2016 in Qatar Foundation’s Recreation Center, on Pitch 1, and matches will be played every Thursday with one break between the end of November and mid-January.
