DOHA: Saud Al Mohannadi, Vice President of Qatar Football Association
(QFA) on Thursday received in his office a batch of six students who
have won scholarships to the UK.
Also present were Hani Balan, Deputy CEO, Qatar Stars League (QSL) and
other senior officials of QFA.
The batch of six students will receive special football-related
training and guidance that will stretch to over 16 weeks, it emerged.
The special football-related studies will kick off on January 20.
The students will also undergo English language courses during their
stay in the British capital.
Al Mohannadi said: "We are delighted to see these boys. I am sure
their stay in the UK will be a landmark in their individual careers.
These six students went through a strict selection process conducted
by QFA and QSL."
He added: "Their stay in the UK will centre around them learning a lot
of things related to football management and organization,they
will go on to attend special lectures that will add to their overall
knowledge about the sport."
The studies will be carried out at Wembley Stadium and Burnley Football Club.
