SYDNEY: Qatar must bounce back with conviction in their play, coach
Djamel Belmdai urged his players on Wednesday.
Qatar went down to the UAE 4-1 in their opening game last Sunday.
Another loss would signal Qatar's exit from the tournament.
Qatar take on Iran in their second game on Thursday.
"We were not good in our last match. We must bounce back," Belmadi
said on Wednesday.
"We have an opportunity to do that and we must grab that opportunity,"
he added.
"We have analysed what happened in the last match. I know my players.
We will try our best. The task is not impossible," he said.
"We must put behind our performance against the UAE," Belmadi said.
"This match is crucial for us. We got good practice before coming
here. We have beaten such teams before. We are here to win this game.
We are a young but determined side," Belmadi said.
"We are learning fast. We are playing at a different level compared to
what we were doing during the Gulf Cup," he said.
