TEHRAN, IRAN: Ahmed Yassir on Thursday said Qatar team
must look at beating Uzbekistan later this week after their
'feisty' Iran clash on Thursday.
He said: "It was a tough loss. But we have another important
game coming up."
Yassir, who stood out as one of the night’s top performers was quoted
: "Qatar fought well with Iran, creating chances. We have just started
the qualifying phase. There's a long way to go."
"We play Uzbekistan later this week," he said. "We must avoid certain
mistakes and move on," he said.
"I am sure this group of players will fight and not feel devastated for
losing the game," he said.
Qatar now face Uzbekistan in their next 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying
game on September 6 in Doha.
