Futsal competitions are set to resume after a six-year hiatus, starting with the Cup competition on October 15, 2025. The League championship will then follow in December of the same year. Together, these two tournaments will serve as a vital platform for discovering futsal talent and will act as a foundation for rebuilding the national futsal team.

Futsal League

Futsal competitions were initially launched on 2006, with an open futsal championship held among institutions and companies. Throughout its history, futsal has witnessed the organization of numerous competitions—overseen by the Qatar Football Association's Futsal & Beach Soccer Department. In addition to the League and Cup tournaments, several other events have been held, including the Super Cup, the U-19 League and Cup, the Open Championship, and various futsal festivals.

The League is scheduled to recommence for the 2025-2026 season during the first week of its 14th edition, which will be held on December 21-22.

The inaugural Futsal League season took place in 2006-2007, featuring 10 participating teams. Al Rayyan claimed that first title and currently tops the all-time champions list with seven league titles, ahead of Al Sadd's five and a single championship for Al Sailiya. Al Rayyan also secured the title in the most recent edition, the 2018-2019 sports season.
