KUALA LUMPUR: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has unveiled its list of the top goal scorers across the continent for 2024, spotlighting five standout players who significantly influenced their teams' performances throughout the year.
Qatar’s Akram Afif and Almoez Ali were among the stars highlighted by the AFC’s official website, which featured photos of the top five scorers.
The list includes Iraqi striker Ayman Hussein, who led with 12 goals, followed by Qatar’s Akram Afif and Jordan’s Yazan Al-Naimat with 11 goals each. South Korean forward Son Heung-min scored 10 goals, while Qatar’s Almoez Ali rounded out the list with 9 goals.
The AFC celebrated these players by showcasing their achievements on its official website and digital platforms, acknowledging their contributions during events such as the AFC Asian Cup held in Qatar earlier this year and the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
