DOHA: Al Kharaitiyat have strengthened their points lead in the Second Division with a 2-1 win over Muaither.
In a match played at Al Khor Stadium, Al Kharaitiyat dominated proceedings after conceding an early goal.
The first goal was scored by Danilo Oliveira in the first minute.
Munir Al Hamdaoui equalized for Al Kharaitiyat in the 19th minute followed by a strike from Rashid in the 64th minute.
Al Kharaitiyat have 30 points while Muaither have a tally of 21.
In another match played at Al Wakrah Stadium, Al Bidda beat Al Shamal 2-1.
Yanick Sagbo scored for Al Shamal in the 53rd minute before Adel Ahmed equalised for Al Bidda in the 71st minute.
Their winning goal came in the 76th minute
as Al Bidda picked up three points to reach a tally of 27. Al Shamal have a tally of 20 points.
In the third match, Lusail beat Al Markhiya 3-1 through goals from Jassim Al Shammari (26), Saud Ali (36) and Hussain Karimi (40). Claudio Luciano scored for Al Markhiya in the 53th minute.
Lusail now have 10 points to be in seventh spot. Al Markhiya are third with 23 points.
In another clash, Mesaimeer beat Al Waab 2-0 at Al Wakrah Stadium. Mesaimeer managed to impose control on the match especially after the expulsion of Al Waab player Abdul Karim Jameh.
