Doha: Khaled Mubarak Al-Kuwari, Director of the Marketing and Communications at the Qatar Football Association, participated as a member of the Media and Marketing Committee of the West Asian Football Federation (WAFF) in its first meeting for the year 2021, which was held on Thursday, the third of June, via video conference.
The meeting, which was chaired by Humaid Al Tayer (UAE), also saw the participation of Eng. Abdulaziz Al-Afaleq (Saudi Arabia) as Vice Chairman, and other members: Mohsen Al Habsi (Oman), Bassam Walweel (Palestine), Muhammad Al Hammadi (Bahrain), Moaz Al Khamisi (Yemen) and Dr. Ahmed Kamel (Iraq).
After the president's speech, the members discussed the programme on the agenda, which saw the review of historical data related to the marketing of the WAFF championships, as well as the media strategy and social media accounts of the WAFF. The members of the committee were also briefed on the marketing, and digital and television broadcasting strategy for the upcoming WAFF tournaments.
This meeting of the WAFF Media and Marketing Committee is the first after the Executive Committee re-formed the committees of the Federation during the twenty-fifth meeting, which witnessed the prominent participation of the Qatar Football Association.
