DOHA: The third round of the group stage of the Second Division Cup for the 2024-2025 season concluded on Thursday evening, with Al Kharaitiyat, Al Markhiya, Al Bidaa, and Muaither emerging victorious.
In Group One, Al Kharaitiyat edged Lusail 1-0 at Al Sailiya Stadium, with Sulaiman netting the decisive goal in the 45th minute. Al Markhiya defeated Al Waab 1-0 at Suhaim Bin Hamad Stadium, thanks to a goal by Lucas Gabriel.
In Group Two action, Al Bidaa overcame Al Sailiya 2-1 at Thani bin Jassim Stadium. Mohammed Omar and Issa Khalfan scored for Al Bidaa, while Ahmed Osama found the net for Al Sailiya. Muaither sealed a 2-0 win over Mesaimeer at Saud bin Abdulrahman Stadium, with goals from Amjad Murshid and Munqidh Adi.
Group Standings After Round Three
At the conclusion of the third round, Al Markhiya leads Group One with 9 points, followed by Al Waab with 6 points. Al Kharaitiyat holds third place with 3 points, while Lusail remains at the bottom with no points.
In Group Two, Al Bidaa sits at the top with 7 points, Muaither is second with 5 points, Al Sailiya is third with 4 points, and Mesaimeer is in last place without any points.
Upcoming Matches: Round Four
The fourth round matches will take place on January 14 and 15. On the first day, Al Waab will face Lusail, and Al Kharaitiyat will take on Al Markhiya at 5:45 PM at Hamad bin Khalifa and Suhaim bin Hamad stadiums.
On the second day, Muaither will meet Al Sailiya, while Al Bidaa will play against Mesaimeer.
