DOHA: Al Sadd thrashed Muaither Sports Club 5-1 at home in the 10th round of the Qatar Stars League. The victory helped the champions remain in the second place. Abdelkarim Hassan (51st), Ali Asad (62nd), Mohammed Kassola (72nd), Leandro Da Silva (75th) and Saleh Badr (80th) scored for the winners while Ibou netted Muaither’s consolation goal. Al Arabi got back to the winning ways. Second-half goals from Jesus Meza (51st) and Mohammed Razzaq (56th) ensured full points for the men in red. Al Sailiya suffered their second straight defeat as Qatar Sports Club came from behind to win 2-1. Faouzi Ayesh put Sailiya ahead in the 10th while Marcinho (92nd) and Abdulla Dayyani (97th) found the target for the winners. Elsewhere, Manuel Jimenez’s search for his first win as Rayyan coach continued when Lekhwiya held them goalless.
