DOHA: Experienced Al Sadd defender Ibrahim Magid has resumed training
after a six-month lay-off, the Qatar Stars League (QSL) club said on
Sunday.
Magid had torn ligaments repaired after surgery.
Magid who is short of match practice is expected to be on the bench
for Al Sadd's first AFC Champions League game next week.
Magid, 23, said recuperation was well managed though it was tough to
sit out for six months.
"This injury taught me about patience," Magid said in a statement. "I
got great support from my club and backroom staff. I will be ready to
play 15 or 20 minutes after such a long break," he said.
Magid said he was happy to see his team play well in QSL.
