DOHA: Second Division points leaders Al Shahaniya have widened the gap at the top after they beat Al Wakra 1-0 following a feisty contest.     In the game played at Al Wakra Stadium, Al Shahniya fought off stiff resistance from the hosts to post their narrow yet hard-fought win.     Al Shahaniya now have 18 points while Al Wakra have 12.     Al Wakra threw in late attacks but Al Shahaniya played brave football to open a 6-point lead in the standings.     In the second match at the same venue, Muaither and Mesaimeer produced a goalles draw after a strong and at times exciting match between the two fierce rivals.     The defending from both the teams was remarkable allowing little passage to the strikers either side of the two halves.     Mesaimeer have 8 points in the overall standings.
