DOHA: Aspire Academy for Sport Excellence has recently participated in the fourth annual International Exhibition and Forum for Education (IEFE) in Saudi Arabia.
This year's IEFE was themed 'I Can Compete' and focused on addressing learning disabilities.
Taking part in the event for the second time, Aspire was once again able to demonstrate its unique contributions towards the development of regional sporting talent.
Commenting on Aspire Academy's rewarding experience at IEFE, Ahmad Hussain Ali Abdulla, Assistant Principal of Student Affairs, said, "At the Academy, we believe it vital for our students to receive a top-class academic education alongside the development of their athletic skills.
This holistic approach was showcased at IEFE and received a tremendous response by all." To demonstrate the quality of education and intercultural experiences on offer at Aspire Academy, two 12th grade students were on-hand at the exhibition to speak to potential candidates.
One of the students Hamad Al Muftah said, "We were slightly nervous about taking part in IEFE at first, but when our tutors told us to simply be ourselves and highlight all the wonderful things that we have achieved at Aspire Academy, it turned out to be a great experience." Throughout the five-day exhibition, the Academy's Academic Support Department was especially popular.
Dr Jamil Al Sharif Babli, Chief Officer of Academic Support, said, "The Academy was singled out for its Academic Support Program due to the many studies and statistics we were able to provide to visitors.
This information helped us to perfectly illustrate the high-quality academic education offered at Aspire Academy, despite the fact that the main criteria for acceptance are indeed athletic." This year's IEFE was held in Riyadh and is considered one of the largest education exhibitions in the Gulf region, marking yet another success for Aspire Academy
