Aspire Futsal Draw Held at Football Headquarters

DOHA: The draw for the Aspire Futsal Championship was held at Al Bidda Tower in the presence of top officials on Thursday. Hamad Abdullah Al Kuwari, vice president of Marketing and Communication, Qatar Football Association (QFA), Abdullah Al-Mohannadi, Fusal Committee Chairman, and Faisal Fouad, Director of Media in the tournament were present during the draw ceremony. Tournament referees, judges and administrative officers were also present. The tournament, which being is held under the patronage of HE Salah bin Ghanem bin Nasser Al Ali, Minister of Youth and Sports, kicks-off on Friday. The tournament - featuring 48 teams - will end in February. Government ministries, private organizations and companies have registered their teams for the event. The top team will win QR 75,000 while the losing finalist will go home with QR 50,000. The third-placed side will get QR 25,000. The teams have been divided 12 groups - with three sides each, officials said. Al Kuwari said: "We know that the teams are very excited to feature in this tournament which has our backing and support. We would like to see the teams playing attractive football. We wish the teams good luck."
