DOHA: Despite the 1-1 draw, Qatar coach Djamal Belmadi valued the preparatory friendly against Bahrain held just few days before the beginning of the eighth edition of the West Asia Football Federation.
“It was an outstanding performance and I am pleased with the show,” coachBelmadi said on Saturday.
“I think the players played their natural game and performed well as a team, but of course, there is some work to be done”.
“The players will be back in training until we play our opening match in the tournament. We do not want to lose intensity before this key match. Everyone will be on the training pitch,” he said.
“We have to be positive and play an aggressive game against Palestine. It will be a different match compared to today’s encounter against Bahrain”.
