DOHA: Hani Ballan, Executive Office of the Qatar Football Association (QFA) member, and Mansoor Al Ansari, the Secretary-General, participated in the Ordinary General Assembly of the West Asian Football Federation (WAFF), which was held Thursday afternoon via video feature.
Prince Ali bin Al Hussein, President of the WAFF, presided over the meeting, where he praised the role of all member federations in promoting football in its various sectors.
The meeting was attended by representatives of Qatar, Jordan, UAE, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Iraq, Oman, Palestine, Kuwait, Lebanon and Yemen.
Ballan and Al Ansari were representing QFA. Ballan also voted during the ordinary general assembly session.
The meeting agenda included several points, beginning with the approval of the meeting, the approval of the agenda, and the president's speech, passing through the appointment of two members to check the minutes and two observers to count the votes.
The report of the Secretary-General of the activities for the previous period was presented, and the minutes of the previous 10th Ordinary General Assembly meeting held on September 3, 2020, were approved.
Also on the agenda were the approval of the financial statements and auditors report of the West Asian Federation for the year 2020, the draft electoral system, and the formation of the election commission according to the recommendation of the Executive Committee of WAFF.
