DOHA: Newly-appointed Qatar coach Djamel Belmadi watched his former
club Lekhwiya take on Saudi club Al Ittehad in their AFC Champions
League game on Tuesday.
Belmadi camp said the new coach is keeping an eye on players who are
likely to play for Qatar in the coming weeks. Players in focus include
Khalid Muftah and Karim Boudaif and Sebastian Soria.
The new coach has already begun his preparations for Qatar's next two
assignments: the Gulf Cup in November and the 2015 Asian Cup in
Australia.
Lekhwiya recorded their first Asian win this season on the expense ofAl Ittehad.
