DOHA: The WAFF Championship matches will be held at Lekhwiya Stadium and Al Sadd Stadium only, Qatar Football Association (QFA) has announced. The third venue - Suheim Bin Hamad Stadium - will not feature in the event to be held from December 25 to January 7. Qatar will play the opening match against Palestine on December 25, the opening day of the event. Nine teams will feature in the tournament after Yemen withdrew from the championship last week. The semi-finals will be played on 4th January while the final match will be played on 7th January, 2014.
