DOHA: El Jaish defeated Al Gharafa 2-1 in a keenly-fought game at the Lekhwiya Stadium on Friday to continue their stay on top of the table.
Wagner Ribeiro netted a brace in the 45th and 63rd minutes while Miku pulled one back in the 76th.
Jaish were reduced to 10 men towards the end, when they lost substitute Mohammed Muntari to a red card.
Meanwhile, Al Khor and Al Ahli played out a 2-2 draw.
Khor looked on course to register their first win of the competition, but they were yet again denied full points by a late goal.
Dioko Kaluyituka gave Ahli the lead in the 29th, but Ibrahim Awwal scored in the 49th to draw parity. Madson put Khor ahead seven minutes later, but Waleed Hamza netted in the 89th to ensure Ahli a point.
Khor thus settled down for their seventh draw from 10 games.
Umm Salal, the only team other than Khor not to have won a game so far, played out a goalless draw with Al Kharaitiyat.
