DOHA: Sponsored b Coca –Cola, the FIFA World Cup Trophy made a spectacular appearance at the final match of the 7th QIFF Inter District Football Tournament at Al Arabi Stadium last evening. The trophy tour event was organised by the Qatar Football Association and Coca-Cola.
Over 6,000 Indian expats flocked to Al Arabi to witness this historic moment.
MAMWAQ and KMCC, the two teams that played the final, got a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take a picture with the iconic trophy. Hitmi al-Hitmi President of Al Arabi Stadium, Al Arabi club players and VIPs also took a photo with the trophy. Additionally MES Indian School Scouts were also given the opportunity to take pictures with the trophy.
People were pleased to have the opportunity to see the most coveted trophy in the sporting world. When the FIFA World Cup trophy entered the stadium, it took several moments for everyone to realise that what they were seeing was for real and not a dream.
