KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA: Qatar started their AFC Futsal Championship 2014 West Zone qualifying campaign with a 2-2 draw against Saudi Arabia in their opening match held on Monday. In their come-from-behind draw, Qatar , were a goal down in the 11th minute of the second half through Yahya Al Sheheri. Mohammed Ibrahim brought the score level at 1-1 just one minute after the Saudi have broken the deadlock but again Al Sheheri put Saudi Arabia in front with his second goal of the match, before Faisal Ibrahim levelled the score for Qatar for the second and final time. Elsewher in the group, a 4-4 draw against Kuwait earned Iraq their first point in the group, while Kuwait now leads the group with four points as they beat Saudi Arabia in Day 1. Qatar is set to take on Lebanon in the next round while Saudi Arabia plays Iraq in a do or die match for both sides.
