GFF Secretary General Al Rumaihi promises sincere efforts

DOHA: The new Secretary General of the Gulf Football Federation (GFF) Jassim Al Rumaihi on Saturday pledged to take the game forward in the region. Al Rumaihi was appointed to the post by the Executive Committee of GFF on Friday. "I thank the honourable members for trusting me to do the job," said Al Rumaihi. "I promise I will do more than just a good job," he said . "This is a significant time for us and a new phase of football in the region. "We are moving in the right direction. It will be a big challenge but I am up for the added responsibilities," he said. "I am confident GFF will truly work as one body for the sake of developing the game in the region," he said. "We will be formalizing the structure of GFF soon. Experienced hands will come in and join us. It will be hugely beneficial for GFF to get the right people," he said. "The Executive Committee will be meeting regularly and according to the charter of GFF," Al Rumaihi said. Al Rumaihi said the Marketing Committee will hold their first meeting next week.
