DOHA: Gutsy Al Shamal held Al Shahaniya to a 1-1 draw in a Second
Division match played under lights at the 2022 FIFA World Cup venue
Khalifa International Stadium.
Al Shahaniya scored the first goal in the 49th minute when Abdurrahman
Naji found the net with ease.
However, Ali Fareedoon, the Al Shamal striker, managed to deny Al
Shahaniya a three-point lead in the 90th minute.
With the game witnessing rough tackles, referee Mohammed Nasser red-carded
Al Shamal's Mukhtar Ali Mukhtar in the second half.
