DOHA: Hani Taleb Ballan, Chairman of the Qatar Football Association’s (QFA) Referees Committee and Vice Chairman of the FIFA Referees Committee, participated in the 16th FIFA Referees Committee meeting, held virtually.
The meeting was chaired by Pierluigi Collina, Chairman of the FIFA Referees Committee, and attended by Massimo Busacca, Executive Director of the FIFA Referees Department, alongside committee members representing various continents.
Discussions during the session covered several critical agenda items. The committee reviewed activities undertaken during the previous period and deliberated on mechanisms for advancing the development of referees, judges, and evaluators. Proposals for the integration of new technology into refereeing processes were also a focal point of the meeting.
The outcomes included strategic measures to enhance referee performance globally, reflecting FIFA’s continued commitment to innovation and excellence in officiating.
