DOHA: Jordan edged past Kuwait 2-1 to reach the semifinals of the WAFF Football Championship for Men on Wednesday. Wednesday's match at Lekhwiya Stadium signalled the end of the preliminary stage of the tournament. Saeed Marjan and Tarek Khatab scored for Jordan while Saeed Ansari netted the only goal for Kuwait. Ahmed Rashid of Kuwait was red-carded in the match.
