DOHA: Coach Djamal Belmadi was a delighted man after Qatar beaten Palestine 1-0 in their opening WAFF Championship match in Doha yesterday.
“It was an outstanding performance and I am pleased with the show,” coachBelmadi said on Wednesday.
“I think the players played their natural game and performed well as a team,” he added.
“We have achieved our target from this match. We wanted three points and we collected those points,”Belmadisaid at the post-match press conference.
“I want to say ‘well done’ to my players. We want to continue the good work in this tournament.” he added.
“Palestine is a good team, they managed to give us tough game, it will be foolish to rule them out of the competition”.
“Now our next target is Saudi Arabia. We must show consistency and be positive,” He concluded.
