DOHA: Midfielder Bualam Khokhi described Qatar’s 3-0 win on Saturday over Kuwait as “well-deserved”, saying the players need to show the same intensity in the final match against Jordan.
Qatar play Jordan on January 7 in the final at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.
“It was an important win,” Khokhi said on Saturday. “The players put in real effort and we achieved what we looking for,” he added.
“The Kuwait team is an unpredictable side and we made a good fist of it on the pitch. The first goal helped us to pick up good momentum.” He explained.
“We are raising the bar for ourselves after every match, and I hope we continue to do so” he said.
“We are confident of a good show against Jordan in the final,” Khokhi said. “I want us to play with the same intensity that we exhibited today.”
