Nilai: Kuwait joined Lebanon in the finals of the AFC Futsal Championship 2014 after convincingly defeating Qatar 4-1 in their third match of the competition on Wednesday. The 2012 AFC Futsal Championship’s quarter-finalists are unbeaten so far and face Lebanon on Thursday to determine the first place. On the other hand, the defeat did not damage Qatar’s chances of progress altogether as they face Iraq on Thursday and a win would be enough for the Qataris to seal a place for the Ho Chi Minh finals at the expense of Iraq. Having an eye over the Thursday’s crucial tie against Iraq, Qatar coach Eduardo Garcia decided to give chances to his fringe players and Kuwait took it very generously as they were in the rampant form throughout. Abdulrahman Altaweel, Mohammed Aldousari and Mohammed Mohammed scored a goal each for Kuwait while their fourth goal came as an own goal in the 5th minute through Abdulrahman Aref. Hadi Jaber scored Qatar’s consolation goal in the 32nd minute.
