DOHA: Al Kharaitiyat handed two-time champions Lekhwiya a shock 2-0 defeat in the second round of the Qatar Stars League at the Lekhwiya Stadium on Saturday.
Brazilian defender Domingos Nascimento put the Blues ahead in the 23rd minute while striker Jaycee John made it 2-0 in the 69th.
It was the second defeat for Lekhwiya in a week, having lost to Guangzhou Evergrande 1-4 in the Doha leg of the AFC Champions League quarterfinal on Wednesday.
