Doha: The Qatar Football Association (QFA) has announced the reformation of the 2023 Asian Cup Local Organizing Committee, spearheaded by the honorary president of QFA, His Excellency Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, to oversee and manage top-tier football tournaments in the country. This newly formed committee is tasked with organizing a series of prestigious football events, including the Intercontinental Championship, the Arab Cup, and the Under-17 World Cup, over a ten-year period from 2024 to 2034.
The committee will be responsible for staging the 2024 Intercontinental Championship, the 2025, 2029, and 2033 editions of the Arab Cup, and the Under-17 World Cup from 2025 to 2029.
The establishment of this committee marks a significant milestone in Qatar's ongoing efforts to position itself as a global hub for international football.
