Players of Both Teams Seek Wins to Improve FIFA Rankings

DOHA: For Bahrain's Mohammed Hussain and Qatar's Meshaal Abdullah, a win in their team's 2015 Asian Cup qualifier on Wednesday would boost their FIFA Rankings. Visitors Bahrain and hosts Qatar meet in their 2015 Asian Cup qualifying match on Wednesday. Qatar's Abdullah said: "I thank the coach and everyone for believing in me to play in this match after not playing with the national team for many years. Bahrain is a good team, however, our aim is to be first place in the group as the difference in points between our team and Bahrain team is one point. We also intend on winning to improve our FIFA ranking.” Hussain, the Bahrain player, said: "Qatar is a young team with a young coach, we will play our best tomorrow because we have trained very well and we’re prepared to play the match the best way we can. We look forward to playing Qatar tomorrow. The match tomorrow will have an impact on our FIFA ranking, therefore, we are eager to win it.”
