DOHA: Qatar coach Fahad Thani will deliver a key lecture on Tuesday on
matters relating to managerial challenges for those interested in
taking up coaching full-time.
This was announced by Qatar Football Association (QFA) on Monday.
QFA's Jassim Al Muftah said he was thankful to Fahad for sparing time
in agreeing to deliver the lectures on coaching.
QFA, Al Muftah said has marked coaching as a key area in developing
the game at grassroots level in the country.
'We are looking forward to seeing Fahad explain the finer points in
coaching as this is a key area in the development of football in
Qatar,' Al Muftah said.
'We are thankful to him that he has agreed to share his experiences
with us,' Al Muftah said.
Al Muftah said Asian body AFC has also underlined coaching as one of
the vital segments of the game and QFA was geared up to take up the
challenge of taking the game forward in all possible ways.
Youth coach of Al Gharafa Ahmad Yousef has already featured in one of
the lectures. More senior and junior coaches are expected to join the
lecture series organised by QFA.
