Doha: Qatar delivered an impressive performance in a commanding 5-0 victory over Nepal in the AFC U17 Asian Cup 2025 Qualifiers Group F match at Aspire Stadium on Friday.
Following a challenging 2-0 win over Mongolia earlier in the week, the Qatari side showed greater confidence and cohesion in their second outing. Team captain Zaid Faisal once again proved to be a key player, scoring in back-to-back games and netting a hat-trick with goals in the 45th, 56th, and 82nd minutes. Yazan Mohamed opened the scoring for Qatar in the 21st minute, setting the tone for the dominant display.
Omar al-Marzouqi added to the tally, finding the net to further strengthen Qatar's position. The victory moved Qatar to six points, setting up a crucial encounter with Japan in their next match. Meanwhile, Nepal will conclude their qualifying campaign against Mongolia.
