Qatar Football Association Holds Coordination Meeting for 53rd Amir Cup Preparations

  Doha: Khalid Mubarak Al-Kuwari, Director of Marketing and Communication at the Qatar Football Association (QFA), emphasized the success of a recent coordination meeting with media officials from Qatari clubs. “The meeting was highly productive, aligning with final preparations for the 2024-2025 Amir Cup,” he stated. Al-Kuwari anticipates fierce competition among clubs, which he believes will elevate the tournament’s technical quality. “This drives our commitment to enhancing media and marketing efforts,” he added, noting that all organizational protocols for match coverage were reviewed, with a focus on streamlining media operations. Al-Kuwari praised the proactive engagement of club representatives, highlighting their “significant responsiveness and constructive dialogue.” He revealed that numerous proposals were tabled during discussions, which will now be analyzed for implementation as the tournament progresses. “Full coordination with clubs on media matters will continue,” he affirmed, adding that follow-up meetings will occur after each stage of the tournament to evaluate successes, address challenges, and clarify roles. “This isn’t the final meeting—it’s the start of an ongoing process to amplify the championship’s media impact,” he explained. Held at the QFA’s Al Bidda Tower headquarters, the meeting addressed key logistical and promotional strategies for the Amir Cup’s 53rd edition. Attendees, including QFA social media specialist Abdulrahman Al-Abd Al-Jabbar, explored updated media guidelines, such as consolidated pre-match press conferences and post-match briefings at host stadiums. Discussions also emphasized simplifying media access to club trainings, boosting social media promotion, and strategies to attract larger audiences to matches.
