DOHA: The Qatar Futsal team has kicked off preparation for the Kuwait International Futsal Championship to be held later this month.
According to details, Qatar national team players will make the most of this training to get practice ahead of the March 27-April 1 event to be held in Kuwait.
Qatar national coach Ahmed Mannai, team manager Abdullah Al Mansouri and assistant manager Ahmed Ghulam are busy watching the players in action.
The tournament in Kuwait will feature eight teams including Brazil, Italy, England, Iran, Egypt and Bahrain besides Qatar and the hosts.
"The championship is a good opportunity to help our players get more experience especially as we will be preparing for the Asian Cup qualifiers later on," a team official said.
"The tournament in Kuwait will include eight teams from different continents. The competition will have many benefits in terms of preparing for the upcoming events. Brazil, Italy, England, Iran and Egypt are all play in their own style in the world of futsal," the official added.
The training for the national team is scheduled to continue until the 10th of this month.
The teams will also play two friendly matches with the professional team on 17-19 March before leaving Doha March 24.
