Nilai: Lebanon registered their second victory in as many matches to top the table of the AFC Futsal Championship 2014 West Zone qualifiers being played at the Nilai Indoor Stadium. They defeated Qatar 3-1.
After playing two matches, Lebanon are leading the table with six points. A point in their remaining two matches would be enough for Lebanon to seal a place in the next year’s finals to be played in Ho Chi Minh City of Vietnam.
In contrast, Qatar need to win both of their remaining matches to progress as they have only mustered one point from their opening two matches so far.
Mohamad Kobeissy scored a brilliant hattrick for Lebanon in their come-from-behind win as they trailed by a goal in the 10th minute after Qatar’s Abdullah Salem scored their first goal.
Two minutes later Kobeissy grabbed his first and a minute later put Lebanon in the lead for the first time in the match. He completed his hattrick in the 40th minute.
